Books In Hands Give the gift of peace through literacy Just think−when was the last time you went through a day, or even an hour without reading? Yet, this is what the people of Southern Sudan experience every day−a literary wasteland. For a $50.00 contribution, you can give the gift of literacy to the people of Southern Sudan through the Books in Hands Fund Drive. As a mother and an educator, I’ve often felt blessed by the access our children have to literacy. Public libraries, public education, bookstores, the Internet, and even reading materials in waiting rooms give our children access to the world and their own imaginations. Honor a friend or loved one with a Books in Hands honorary gift contribution. You will receive an acknowledgement to use as a gift card enclosure and a 100% tax deductable receipt for your records.
